Care & Sterilisation

Wash teats in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly before and after each use.
Sterilise by:

• Boiling in water for 5-10 minutes (silicone) or 5 minutes (latex), or
• Using a steam steriliser

Allow teats to air dry in an upright position so excess water can drain.

Avoid harsh chemicals, and always inspect for wear or damage before use.

Teat Hole Preparation

Silicone teats:

Use a fine surgical needle (20-23 gauge) to gently pierce the tip from the top. This may take some practice, so spare "seconds" teats can be useful for testing.

Latex teats:

Use a fine needle heated with a flame to create the hole from the top. Gradually increase size if needed (practice on seconds teats).

Important tips:

• Start with a small hole and test flow using water
• Ideal flow = a slow drip when inverted (milk flows thicker than water)
• Do not use scissors or blades, as they may cause tearing or splitting
